Just in case you are somehow the most ignorant person in the world (ignorant in a literal sense, no offense intended), a hurricane hit Louisiana. I evacuated New Orleans and rode out the storm at my uncle’s house. There’s pretty much no power all around the state. I’m at another uncle’s house now, running on generators. It’s perfectly comfortable, except that the generators aren’t powerful enough to run the air conditioner, so it’s a little hot. I’m sitting in front of a fan right now.
There’s very little to do. You can’t go anywhere because there’s debris and downed power lines blocking the road, or there’s roadblocks, or there’s a curfew. Even if you could get around, there’s no place to go; everything is closed and everyone has evacuated.
